Union with Christ

Jesus lived the life we should have lived and died the death we should have died. Now he calls us to partner with His presence, to know Him and make Him known, to be vessels in which His kingdom can come and His will can be done on earth as it is heaven. He is the vine, and we are to be the branches that bear fruit. Jesus prayed that we would be one with Him as He is one with the Father. Now we are one Body, with Christ as our head, united to Him forever. The church is to be a true community. We are not to be jealous over the gifts of others, or cause strife through divisive comments on secondary issues. We are to forgive one another, as Christ forgave us; love one another, as Christ loved us; serve one another as Christ served us; and be united to one another as Christ is united to us, and we are united with Christ.
