Union with Christ

Jesus lived the life we should have lived and died the death we should have died. Now he calls us to partner with his presence, to know him and make him known, to be vessels in which his kingdom can come and his will can be done on earth as it is in heaven. Jesus prayed that we would be one with him as he is one with the Father. Now those who believe in Jesus are united to him forever.

The church is described as the body with Christ as our head. Moreover, we are given spiritual gifts to build up the body. We are not to be jealous over the gifts of others, or cause strife through divisive comments on secondary issues. We are to forgive one another, as Christ forgave us; love one another, as Christ loved us; serve one another as Christ served us; and be united to one another as Christ is united to us, and we are united with Christ.
