Revelation 19:1-10

Our vision of the future should shape our choices today.

In the new creation, we will be free from evil, the evil of sin that distorts our masculinity and femininity. In the new creation, God will separate the true from the false and the light from the darkness. The forces of darkness are strong in the world today, but in the age to come darkness will be destroyed for good. In Christ, we are freedom fighters, not puppets of the overlords. We will not be seduced by the devil, and we will fight the fight until the end.

We exist to shine light in the darkness, love in the hatred, through knowing Jesus and making Jesus known. For those in Jesus, by faith we are gifted with the righteousness of God and free of condemnation, transformed into his likeness. While we struggle with sin now, in the new creation we will be sinless, perfected, and glorified to true and perfect humanity. We will be secure in who we are, and relate to each other joyfully and perfectly. There will no longer be the battle of the sexes, but how our differences bring us together to glorify God. Now and forever, we are secure in the boundless and undefeatable love of God, for whom we were made for. Let us live in light of this eternal truth, and of the new creation.
