You've Got One Job
1 Corinthians 16:1-24
The Corinthians were divisive over many things: leaders, the spiritual gifts, tradition, and the concept of the resurrection. Yet, as Paul ends this letter, we are reminded how the work of the Lord comes through even in the mundane details of our lives, and that Christians have one job. Our one job is to make Jesus known. That Jesus died to win the victory over sin, satan, and death. Our mission is strategic and dangerous, but also unified.
May we stand firm in the faith, that Jesus died a substitutionary death for our sins and had a physical resurrection. May we not manipulate the faith in any way, and be child-like not childish in faith. May we not disguise ourselves but do all we do out of the love we have received from Jesus. May we not be too stern that we forget to love. We are one family in Christ.
