The Spear & The Stone

Easter 2024

In the wake of a dark and brutal death on the cross, the spear pierced Jesus’ side and blood poured out.

Three days later, the stone was rolled away and revealed an empty tomb, so that even the most doubtful would believe.

These seemingly small details are recorded in the gospel of John so that we can witness the great lengths Jesus went to rescue us, and believe that he is alive.

The spear and the stone stand, etched in history, as pointers to God’s desire for us to know him and find true meaning, purpose and life in his name.

Find hope in the risen Jesus this Easter.
