City on a Hill believes the Bible is God's word, and we are committed to teaching his truth with courage and clarity. Sometimes this can be confronting, even offensive - indeed, Jesus warned that his teachings would do this. However, he also urged his followers not to cause unnecessary offence with their words or manner.

We are therefore committing to a process of reviewing some of our resources, and you may notice some changes in coming weeks. In light of that, we would invite you to approach us with any questions or concerns through movement@cityonahill.com.au. We remain committed to the gospel, to teaching the bible, and to showing its enduring relevance in an ever-changing world.

The Kingdom - Matthew's Gospel

“You have heard it said… but I say to you.” With these words, Jesus makes it clear—He’s here to rebuild. To breathe life into the law and transform how we see the world. He challenges our assumptions and offers a new way of living.

But Jesus goes deeper than outward actions. He does heart work, shining His light into our deepest desires and fears, to transform our hearts.

The soul longs to be part of His Kingdom. Jesus draws us in with His beauty, but following Him also comes with a cost. Surrendering the old ways isn’t easy, but it leads to true life.
