Welcome

City on a Hill believes the Bible is God's word, and we are committed to teaching his truth with courage and clarity. Sometimes this can be confronting, even offensive - indeed, Jesus warned that his teachings would do this. However, he also urged his followers not to cause unnecessary offence with their words or manner.

We are therefore committing to a process of reviewing some of our resources, and you may notice some changes in coming weeks. In light of that, we would invite you to approach us with any questions or concerns through movement@cityonahill.com.au. We remain committed to the gospel, to teaching the bible, and to showing its enduring relevance in an ever-changing world.

Glory - Part One

The Book of Hebrews

Hebrews was penned for weary urban Christians, offering hope and encouragement.

Just as its original audience faced a culture that neither understood nor respected Christian faith, so too do we encounter a society that frequently questions and challenges Jesus and Christianity. The author of Hebrews wrote to Christians feeling discouraged, isolated, and tempted to either drift away towards worldliness or fall back towards Judaism.

In Hebrews, we’re invited to rediscover the incomparable glory of Jesus Christ, to reflect deeply on the transformative power of His redemption, and to cultivate endurance in our faith that can withstand life’s storms.

Join us as we embark on a 15-week journey through the book of Hebrews, beginning with “Part 1 – Glory” on September 1.
