I Am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life

John 14:1-14

There’s no place like home, no one like him, and no time like the present.

Heaven is our home, and the great promise of heaven is God's presence. The only way to Heaven is Jesus; the only truth of God’s character and promises is found in Jesus; the only source and giver of eternal life is Jesus. There is no one like him, no one comes to the Father except through him.

There is no sitting on the fence or room for indifference for accepting Jesus as the only way, truth, and life. Either Jesus is right in his statement or Jesus is wrong. At the end of the day, you will either be willing to die for Jesus, or want to kill him. You’re either all in, or not in at all.

The clock has struck midnight, and there is no time like the present. The invitation to accept Jesus as the only way to eternal life is free. Now that Jesus is in heaven, Christ has promised that we will do greater works than him. This is not miracles, nor devotion to extensive missionary work, but good works and life decisions that are done knowing that the clock has struck midnight, and Jesus is coming soon.

Time is running out, and Jesus is the only way to eternal life.
