The Golden Rule

Matthew 7:1-12

The human heart believes it has the right to defend our actions and prosecute the actions of others. Yet, all have turned away from God and are worthy of judgement because of their sin. We need a righteousness outside of our own, and that is only found in Jesus who died a substitutionary death for us.

Jesus then quickly pivots back to his original point of God being our Father, to whom we can ask and receive, seek and find, knock on his door and know he will open it. Let us then live a life of love and neediness, always asking God for his grace and knowing he provides for our needs.
